Tungnath Temple
Tungnath Temple located at the highest point in the region. The shrine is perched at an elevation of 3680 meters above the sea level. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is a very sacred destination as the inhabitants believed. This is one of the parts of Panch Kedar. At this temple the arm of the Lord Shiva is worshipped. A 4 kilo meter steep trek will lead tourists to Tungnath.

Chandrashila
One of the tourist places in Chopta around 1 kilo meter from Tungnath. People reach the place by a 1 kilo meter trek. From this point tourist can see the snowy peaks of mighty Himalaya. Chandrashila is the highest point which houses Chopta and Tungnath temple. The mountain is perched a height of 4090 meters above the sea level.

Kedarnath Mandir
The mandir consist of a Shivlinga which is believed to be the 12th Jyotrilingas. The shrine is closer to the Mandakani River. This is one of the Kedars of Panch Kedars. The temple is constructed in pyramidal shape. It is located amidst of the Himalayan ranges. It is conceived that the mandir was made by the Adi Shankaracharya. There are around 200 Idols of Lord Shiva installed inside it. Tourists can see the carvings of Deities and stories on the walls of the temple.

Kalpeshwar Mandir
People come to the Kalpeshwar Mandir to worship. The temple is of Lord Shiva, pilgrims worship Shiva as Jatadhar. The main reason of visiting the devotees here is the existence of entwined hair. Kalpeshwar is located at a height of 2134 meters above the sea level. This is also one of the Panch Kedars which keeps open in every season. There is a tree Kalpavriksha which has been the place of meditation. It is also conceived that Rishi Durvasa also meditated under this tree.

Gurudongmar Lake
Tourist can also visit the beautiful Gurudongmar Lake at the Chopta valley. The Lake is closer to the Indo-Chinese border, elevated at a height of 17 100 ft above the sea level. The water of the lake is believed to be sacred for Hindus and Buddhists as it was blessed by Guru Rimpoche, a Saint of Sikkim.

Thangu Valley
This is one of the sightseeing destinations of the Chopta Valley. The valley is placed around 30 kilo meter from the town Lachen. Alpine medows is the main attraction of the valley. Tourist can also enjoy the Yak race which is held here annually of North Sikkim in Thangu Valley.
