Badrinath is a pilgrimage town and a nagar panchayat in Chamoli district in state of Uttarakhand, India. Badrinath is one of the best pilgrimages of India. It is believed that Lord Vishnu used to meditate here and Goddess Lakshmi used to shelter him from the sun by standing next to him. She turned into Badri called as 'BADRI VISHAL' and Lord Shiva became the Badri-Nath (Lord of Nath).

Local Places to Visit at Badrinath:

Tapt Kund : Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.
Narad Kund : A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.
Brahama Kapal : A flat platform on the bank of river Alaknanda. Hindus perform proppitiating rites for their deceased ancestors.
Sheshnetra : 1.5kms. away is a boulder having an impression of the legendary serpent, better known as the Sheshnag's eye.
Charanpaduka : 3kms. away is a beautiful meadow where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is seen on a boulder.
Mata Murty Temple : Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include Sesh Netra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka.
Mana Village : Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.
Vasundhara : As the name suggests, vasundhara is a magnificent water fall. This place is 5 kms. from Badrinath out of which 2 kms. is motorable upto Mana.
Bhim Pul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.

Package Itinerary

Day 1

Delhi – Haridwar (230 kms / 6hrs) - Visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in Haridwar

Pick up Delhi Railway Station or Airport, Meet and Assist further drive to Hardwar.

On Arrival in Haridwar, Hotel Check-In. Visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in evening time.

Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Haridwar - Rudraprayag (Driver 160kms 6 hrs) - Visit Deoprayag.

In the morning, drive from Haridwar to Rudraprayag via Rishikesh. Enroute visit Deoprayag. Arrive in Rudraprayag & hotel check-in, free for the rest of the day.

Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel in Rudraprayag.

Day 3

Rudraprayag - Badrinath (145 kms. 4.5 hrs) - Visit Tapt Kund, Narad Kund, Brahama Kapal, Sheshnetra, Charanpaduka, Mata Murty Temple, Mana Village, Vasundhara, Bhim Pul & Vyas Gufa.

Early morning, visit pilgrims.

After having a bath in the Taptkund do the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakamal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). Visti to other interesting sight seeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River.

Later drive back to Rudraprayag. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 4

Badrinath – Rudraprayag - (170 kms) - Visit Joshimath

After Morning breakast, drive Badrinath to Rudraprayag 170 Kms apporx via Joshimath. Arrive in rudraprayag overnight stay in hotel.

Day 5

Rudraprayag - Haridwar (164kms. 6 hrs) - Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing

Morning drive to Haridwar. Enroute visit Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing (Ram Jhulla, Laxman Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan, Shivananda Ashram & Gita Kutir).

Afterwards, drive to haridwar chec-in to hotel.

Overnight stay.

Day 6

Haridwar- Delhi (230 km / 7hr) - Local Sight Seeing at Haridwar

Morning Hardwar, Local Sightseeing (Mansa Devi , Chandi Devi, Pawan Dham . After Non drive to Delhi and Drop Railway Station/Airport.
